Hi all

Well the GT has had to go

Unfortunately there was too much work to be done to keep her at her best (lower arms, reverse sensors packed up, full service with campbelt and water pump, new door handle, 18inch alloys needling full refurb and one possibly replaced).

She had done 122k and still looked the part and loved driving her, but with 300 miles a week to drive it wasn't feasible to keep repairing.

Thanks all for all the amazing advice from a great forum and I guarantee I will be back as I love the GT and when funds alloy I will be getting a newer one so I can enjoy without all the repair outlay :D

In the meantime folks, I will be looking on with envy when you drive your stunning cars past me in my ASTRA

P.S I am selling an original GT Headunit and Coin tray in the classifieds if anyone needs one !!

Only had the Astra for 2 weeks  and already missing the GT !! You don't get any heads turning in an Astra but its practical for now. I see more GT's now than ever !! Love em and yes...... I will be back, when I can afford and justify a Cloverleaf or a Blackline :D

Enjoy ur GT's folks !!

Good luck with the Astra, bud!

I've known the feeling, too - my GT has taken over a couple of grand to fix up to where I want it, now. And STILL little niggly things will go wrong all the time. But everytime I think that I should sell and buy something else, I look out the window and there it is, looking awesome.

Cheers GazzyG

Glad u got yours sorted and yes, it's sure not cheap :wow: BUT like you say, all that is forgotten when you look out the window or across the car park and see it sitting there gorgeous, like butter wouldn't melt :inlove:

The Astra SportsHatch will do for now and it will keep the misses off my back !! BUT I intend to be back one day behind the wheel of a GT or a Brera :D
