My 3 yr guarantee is about to end, and I want to abandon the bl@o0dy official dealer service garage.

 So, asking experienced Greek guys (jomor, Amyndas, etc, etc), have you found any reliable, descent servicing garage in Athens to do my future servicing and repairs?

I've got a 147.

Is it my fault, I am trying to broaden your knowledge here guys!!
Learn one or two Greek words... :D :D ;) :D

Besides, this is what I do for a living: teaching people. Seriously.

Kalimera George (Good morning George),

I service my 147 at a friend's garage who offers good rates and excellent service in Athens:

Evolution Service
Xalkidikis 50, Botanikos

Ask for Vassilis (the owner) and tell him Rico sends you and he will take care of you and the Bella....

I agree, but this needs space (and tools). Owning a garage in athens is a luxury :(

Hi Rico,

Welcome back.. (I saw a few updates in your web page -army experience, etc, etc - glad to have you back)

Thanks for your precious info.
Maybe silly to ask, but has the mechanic you recommend (Vasilis) a lot of Alfa experience, or we are talking about an 'all-type-of-car' garage?

PS: How do you like Athens, now you're staying permanently? What neighbourhood was it again? I live in Gyzi if you know :) :) :)

  :):)

Ok, so we are collegues, right??
What subject do you teach - apart from girl hunting, etc, etc??

I teach Computers, both software and Hardware and Computer Science..

Teachers must be very well paid in your country if you own an Alfa... :D :D In Greece you get ... spare change

I've earned my Bella from my previous job - GSM engineer in Vodafone..

And, stop chasing from one thread to the other - you're so fast I can't reach you..   (just joking now, OK?)

Jezzz I don't hunt anyone in school! Well maybe my female colleagues  ;)

I teach something called Visual Education and Tech. It's related with arts and basic geometry. Last year I was also teaching fotography.

That's the samne as in Portugal. Actually, it might be even worst here. :( A lot of hard work that's how I got my 147. :)

Hi George,

Thanks for the welcome home bit. I am still trying to adapt to some of the Greek features and driving habits here. I am living in Alimos and working on Sygrou Avenue near the Onasio hosptial.

Vassilis and Evolution Service can undertake most cars, but he started and has most experience with Italian cars. He also has all the kit (wires, connectors, plugs and software) for the Alfa 147 as I tested him during my first visit there.

He installed my upgraded brake discs at low prices as well as the Bilstein shocks too... and the service for the car are well done as well as trust-worthy (I have nothing to gain from you visiting him apart from being able to help you and cour bella out).... ;) give him a call or pop round to see him and you will see for yourself... nice guy too...

you forgot to mention that you do not work during summer, Christmas and Easter, but still getting payed like you were working full time, so dont complain about being a teacher in Greece :tut:

( i bet all your ex-colleauges tease you about it huh ? :D )

PS: About Hugo, dont believe him, teachers in Portugal dont earn a lot of money indeed, but he can easily afford an Alfa since he often gets "presents" from grateful women, if you get my point
