I don't know who fitted the chip, but it was a classic superchip way before ebay was about.

That car never had any mechanical issues either and lived past 120k miles.

I know superchips are not the best, in fact known to be possibly some of the worst, but this one did work and it worked well.

That chip now lives in a spider which is going on strong.

Found my limit the other day......

I found the limit on mine in Hatfield tunnel the other week,

Foot to the floor, 4th to 5th gear roaring along and it just dropped out of gear, didn't dare look at the rev limit or speed, coasted a bit pulled over one lane found 4th again, fed in the power and no adverse affects at all.

I won't be doing that again.

The sweat rolling down my back plus the hairs standing up on the back of my neck, has put paid to that.

Having said that the sound was fecking glorious, and the top end sprint was a very nice feeling indeed.

My old 156 Selespeed used to change gear somewhere past 7000 (7200is?) but my GTV with the same engine definately limits at 7000. Both cars are CF2 Twinsparks but with different ECUs.

It's one of the things I miss about Selespeed but it was certainly scary the first few times I tried it.

7800rpm

Whats the max you have taken a ts to gus without it blowing up?

Mine is still pulling hard at 7000rpm and then selespeed slams it up a gear.
