Hi all
Can anyone tell me the size of the rear hub bush,i ordered 2 from mr auto's web site but there far to big it's 40mm in dia.
I managed to get one out by the hole saw method, cut half way through then knocked it out,but the saw had cut into the outer metal of the bush so it's damaged but even so it's only 35mm at a guess. So now i'm stuck with my car at the door, undriveable?.
Any suggestions as to where i'll get the right parts as fast as possible as i'm carless and working dayshift next week.
Cheers
Shug

You can buy the hub assembly with the bushes already fitted ... carpart4less.co.uk is where I got mine. Part no 628510091 ... £58.30 each inc vat and del. link

That part appears to be OK for a 1.9 Jtd, but double check by entering your reg, etc ..

You might be hard-pressed to get anything on a Sunday .. most car parts places around me are shut ... apart from Halfords and they are about as likely to hold stock as you making a cup of tea in a chocolate teapot.

If nothing else their site may show you the bearing size .. looks like 35mm with a 30mm bore.

The inner race stayed on but cut into that with the angle grinder and one whack with a 4lb on a chisel cracks the ring and off it comes.

That part appears to be OK for a 2004 1.9 Jtd, but double check .. I'm sure there are two sizes.
