Hi Guys,
As above, I've bought one on a whim for £15, Not entirely sure if it will work on the GTV but it's a handy thing to have,
Has anyone else tried one? How did you get on with it and what model of car did you use?
I have one but could not get it working on a ph2 GTV, think it requires CAN bus to work so ph3 but then again i did not try all that much so let me know if you have luck.
Managed to get it to pair this time with the Tablet pc I use and also my android tablet using 'Torque Pro',
They both gave a reading saying everything was working but the ECU is incompatible (What I was expecting)
The main thing is, the adaptor pairs and detects something, It would be handy if there was just a simple conversion lead but going from CANBUS to another will just not happen, I'll keep the dongle though, £15 for the opportunity to fault read a friend's car is priceless, Plus i'm getting a new car in January which is OBD2 compliant, I just wanted to try the HUD feature with live MPG info, MAF readings etc!
Nevermind, Bloody Alfa's!!!!
you could try and find an old *cough* new ECU probably off a ph3 that would work
probably a bit much for a toy but every one loves toys
