1. what colour is the ABS connector?

2. was the replacement hub the same era as your original?

3. if all sesnors are ok the self check should clear any errors & stay clear.

4. the KKL cable needs to be modified, solder internally on the connector, from pin 7 [ engine ] to 3 [ airbag ] to 1 [ abs ]

5. what error lights are illuminated on the dash?

1 abs sensor connector is a socket on the end the cars wiring as a green inner to the plug

2 i believe it was it was listed as a gt part but the abs sensor socket was wrong, the hub ends looked identical the long keyblade style, same size and fit

3 when fitted the lights stayed out for a while but returned

4 im aware of that but im not soldering id preffer to get the 3 connector cables for £16 if i need them, its not a lot of money to do the job properly

5 the lights what come on are abs and vdc

are the lights now always on?

I suspect the new sensor is damaged because of the wrong wheel hub / strut assembly. the older hubs have a deeper/wider bearing which will damage the new type longer abs sensor. I hope i'm wrong.

ok so when i swapped the hub i swapped sensors.....they are hard to get out and i was carefull, but assumed id damaged it, when i tried to get it out today i had to drill it but the blade was still ok no damage to it at all, i compared the hubs before fitting and they looked identical......i spun the hub after fitting new sensor and didnt hear anything.......im sure i looked too and it was in the right place but ill check

just had a look mate the blade on sensor is still intact, snugly fitting between rear or bearing and end of drive shaft
ill order a set of the 3 ecu connectors i need in the morning and got but a 36mm thin walled socket incase hub as to come of to clean the abs ring......i borrowed last one

are there any techy guys who know how much the bearing differ between models....as the hub unit is the same.......? if i need to ill order a set tomo, my mate as the old hub and as a press, got mot is a week or so, so need to get to the bottom of it.....:) unless someone as a GT hub unit laying about

yeah its ok....didnt need acess....was only pondering if something in there needed resetting.......it was purely the fact the hub had wrong bearing......all correct now......lights knock themselfs off after a few hundred yards and have stayed out :)
