looking to replace two front tyres on my ts 2.0 156,which i am hoping to keep for the next 2-3 years, they will be 205 60 15,i can get a budget tyre e.g a maxxis for £53 or could stretch to a mid range at about £70 each,do about 3000 miles a year town driving, occasional dual carriageway, looking for a quiet ride and good grip,am i wasting my money on the budget tyres,or anybody recommend a tyre to suit the alfa,bf goodrich on the rear, cheers all.
My Rainsport 225/45 x 17 have been on the car for one year and have loads of tread left despite the best efforts of 330 ft/lbs torque to destroy them. Great grip in the wet and immune to aquaplanning.
HI, Just bought my Alfa and needed new tyres.
Don't know how they will perform but I managed to get a pair of brand new Avon ZV5's on Ebay for 110pounds posted to me, being fitted today.
hi all, north eastern tyres just down the road do a uniroyal rain expert at £62 fitted,it has a w speed rating, whereas the rainsport has a v rating,do you think they are similar in tread pattern etc.
The rain expert is also a very good tyre, in some magazine tests it outperformed the Rainsport 2.
A V rated tyre is fine for a TS, but if you have a V6 you will need the W rating.
