My Rainsport 225/45 x 17 have been on the car for one year and have loads of tread left despite the best efforts of 330 ft/lbs torque to destroy them. Great grip in the wet and immune to aquaplanning.

I would either go with the Rainsport 2's or Falkens.

I have a mate who runs Maxxis and he says they are ditchfinders.

I hate Pirellis, Bridgestones I like though.

All of the Pirellis I have used have been below par on performance, especially considering what they cost.

The rain expert is also a very good tyre, in some magazine tests it outperformed the Rainsport 2.

A V rated tyre is fine for a TS, but if you have a V6 you will need the W rating.
