wipers stopped working

It was really windy yesterday and on the way to my LGV training, my wipers decided to overlap and the motor went on me, at least the drivers side was still working even if it did keep overlapping with the left and jamming in the middle of the screen.

So it seems the the motor has burned out.

Anyone know where the best place to get a new one is and if its just the motor that Ill need or if theres anything that I need to know?

How hard are these to fit?

Really I need this sorted by Monday morning as I need to drive to my course in the morning.

Thanks in advance

Danny

The passenger-side drive-link has probably detached

You need to examine the motor and linkage as a first step.... there are plenty of posts about 156 wiper problems and how to remove.

Not that hard to do.

managed to get a wiper motor off a scrap 156 from northantsalfa today for £80 fitted.

not sure if thats good or not, seems expensive to me, then again I know wiper motors are expensive parts.

I was lucky to get it though really as he said he didnt have any when I first asked, when I told him my situation, he had a look, the first 2 only worked on fast speed, luckily the last one worked so I just agreed to get it done there and then as I needed the car for my HGV training.
