I've just fitted a BMC CDA induction kit and cleaned inside the throttle body also, but now the car will idle between 1000-1300 RPM.
I have also noticed before i changed to BMC that when i touch the accelerator and take my foot off it again it starts to fast idle until i "blip" it quickly and it returns to normal.
It is still doing this now and i have checked the throttle linkage and everything looks fine and operating correctly
Disconnect the battery for an hour, reconnect battery,
turn the ignition key to MAR for 90 sec. then to STOP in 90 sec.,
start the engine without touching the accelerator and let the engine idle until the cooling fan starts.
Adaptive parameter and idle control valve can be reset by hooking into the car's ecu with a laptop and then using software. (I use alfadiag).
You might find that with time it resets itself. It does not seem wildly out, mine was revving at 2500 after I cleaned my throttle body. Also I canged my MAF today and the idle is a bit over the place, so I will let it settle down. Otherwise it's out with the laptop for a zap.
Do a ecu reset as berni29 describes, either with alfadiag or examiner or as I described earlier,
you can also live with the idle speed for a while and let the adaptive parameter in ecu adapt
to the new condition (BMC CDA induction).
The cable and which one you need has been discussed on here a fair bit. I have a yr 2000 TS with an injector warning light, and I have a 16pin diagnosis connector just above the fuse box to the right. It might be covered with a cap. Look there first. If not then it is a 3 pin job on the passenger side by the centre console under where the stereo is (apparently..... I spent an hour looking before finding my car has the later connector).
Mine did the same after cleaning the butterfly and inlet manifold, but reset of ECU/ Throttle posn sensor sorted it out. As above, remove battery 30mins should be sufficient (-ve off first, then reconnect -ve last). Ensure heating controls etc all switched off.

Remove battery -ve terminal for 20-30mins, then reconnect
IMPORTANT - During the procedute (from when the instrument panel is powered to the end of the self-learning procedure), do not press either the accelator pedal, the brake pedal or th eclutch pedal.
- make suer the ignition key is at STOP.
- Turn the ignition key to MAR
- Wait for 60 seconds for the ECU to check the throttle internal spring and the maximum/minimum angular positions.
- Turn the key to STOP
- Wait 15 seconds for the ECU to record the learnt values in the EPROM
