i've had my 159 lusso for 2 months now and for some reason i've started to think the ride is pretty hard. initially i thought the ride was superb, firm but smooth and very good at soaking up the bumps. now i think its a bit too hard.
is this just me or does anyone else think the same?
If you spend all your time niggling around town and falling into the potholes conveniently ignored by our "Cash Strapped Councils", then yes it may seem firm................. but try many a German car and you might lose your fillings.
However, hurl the car into a bend till you feel the stability control cutting in and you will feel it could be firmer.
I reckon its a great compromise
it probably is me. My last car was a focus and before that a 156 so compared to them it is firm. Dont get me wrong i'd rather the car be a little on the firm side if it means it handles great, which it does. i just thought the lusso would be a bit softer.
The car is not particularly firm, it is actually soggy in roll, but the rear dampers are a bit stiff compared with the front, which does not do any favours for the ride
I checked them last week with one of those halfords electric tyre inflators. they were all down a bit so i topped them up. might check them again tonight with the calibrated gauge at work.
