Just picked up my 2.2 '08 Brera S from Chris Variava, what a car and what a dealer. I have dealt with a fair few Alfa dealers over my Alfa career but these guys are ace, thanks if you are reading AO!

Very easy guys to deal with and true to every word. The car was bought over the phone, px'ing my GT Blackline and was described to the letter. Top rating to Tim and Richard, very easy and fair deal, I will be back.

That's the dealer, as for the car , WOW. I think I am going to enjoy the move from GT to Brera.

Mate you are soooo lucky.....

Was actaully thinking of getting a S myself, hopefully there will be a few used ones around in a few months time. Saw a 2.2 red S the other week for only £17k with only 6,000 on the clock. When I rang to arange a viewing it had already gone.....gutted.

congrats matey, have fun with it.

Its a firm ride, but very well damped and doesn't seem to 'jiggle' about like my GTs. Very pleased with the ride, but then again Prodrive spent a lot of time developing the set up so should be good I guess.

Re other 159's, I can only speak for early low spec models which I had from time to tome as loaners on the road. These seemed to be a bit wallowy in comparison to the Brera, however the 3.2s I drove on one of the Alfa Track days seemed a lot more together (4WD) and have heard good things about the Ti's which would have been my alternative choice had I needed to carry the family round more than I do.

I was looking at the 3.2 Variava's had:cool: but decided against it.

You are so lucky to get the leather dash:wow: I would give one of my fingers to have that retrofitted to my Ti:eek:

The Ti is actually lower that the Brera S as it's dropped by 20mm as opposed to 10mm.

The ride is really smooth but the steering rack could be quicker & more direct IMHO.

Congratulations M.Barn! Looks magnificent!

IMO, the "S" wheels" are the ultimate for the Brera.

I have the horseshoe 18's on my 3.2 but the 19' 8C style rims are simply off the scale.

Wish I could get them in Australia. :(

Congrats again. Nice one.
