I would like to know the same thing, a good Alfa specialist within, say, a 50 mile radius of Birmingham - my local Alfa dealership is quoting £320 for a 48k service!
Cheeky We have used Perrys (main dealer) at Amersham for a service and warranty work. Some on here have knocked them but we have had no problems with them,(so far).If you are looking at Northampton Jay Nine has had dealings with Motorvogue,so might be able to advise you.Bingy Bongy should be able to help you with an independent he has used in the West Midlands.

Thats about the going rate (at a main dealer)! BTW Many people advise that you get the cam and balancer shaft belts replaced at the same time .Alfa recommend 72k but some people have had them go at 50k.Bingy Bongy has used an independent in your area so should be able to advise you.
Oh no, I don't think my finances can cope with a cambelt change, along with insuring my new toy! But thanks for that advice Pete, I will definately think about that - how much will that set me back? (I suspect I don't even want to know!)
For that lot any where between £500-800 depending on where you get it done!A lot cheper than a new V6 though. It may be expensive but it might give you peace of mind, knowing its been done.
W.A.D auto developments are an independant, and I've seen nothing but praise for them, they are based in Wolverhampton I believe although I've never used them.
Hello...
I bought my car from Perry's Amersham and would take it back to them without hesitation.. I've also used Perry's Alyesbury to good effect. As for independants I would recommend D&J auto's in Le3ighton Buzzard. I@ve used 'em for my FIATS and Alfa's for about 120 years now. I trust them completely.
Had my baby serviced by WAD in Wolverhampton, and would recommend it to anyone - much cheaper than main dealer, and so knowledgable and friendly.
Anyone with an airbag-light-on problem, it seems simple to sort out - a simple reset, costing about 30 quid.
Thanks for the recommendation Steve & Bingybongy.
Im afraid i cant recommend Alfatech in Luton as they always made a balls up whenever i used them, with the result that i no longer use them. For those of you in Herts/Cambs i can recommend The Workshop/Jamie Porter in Royston Herts, a good quality honest service.

Had my cambelt changed at 69k - cost me £350 at my local garage Plough Garage) who I seem to be vistiting rather regularly in Dover- against £750 quoted by Northgate Garage, the Alfa dealer in Canterbury. No where near you lot though.
