And I don't mean the KFC ones wink
A friend of mine who ownes a garage has a spare left and right front wing for a 147.. Present colour is Nero Fuoco..He's looking for a buyer..Anyone up for it? He sells them for 150€ ..shipment and stuff is at own expenses..

sorry guys, i don't know the proper word in Eglish, but I'm refering to the bodypart above the front wheels, that go from the nose to the doors.. Wheel arches then maybe?? :confused:

Here in Australia they are called Mudguards :D

Maybe the Brits call them Wings? :)

Its the English language on some countries who use the wrong word, not all the rest of us :p :D

I'm told they normally cost about 200€ each, so 150€ sounds like a deal to me wink

Those things over the wheels are for keeping the mud off you, hence the reason some of us call them mudguards :rolleyes:

Just to throw a spanner in the works, the Parts CD calls them mudguards too! We call 'em wings, mud gaurds are the little blacl rubber/plastic things you attach to the wings behind the wheels. The joys of language laughing

btw, they are 70gbp new.

Then one of us had the brilliant idea just to check if the exhibition was open.. and guess what? It was closed on the 1st of may
Imagine if we would have driven 350km to find a closed door eek!

But wouldn't the mudguard be the plastic inner trim around the inside of the wheel arch? Why would you call the actual bodywork of the car the mudguard? It's not guarding anything from mud. :confused: laughing

He already has :D . That sheet of metal, painted blue, with the headlight at the front of it and the door at the back of it, is what is called the wing in the UK.

See I can accept things having different names in different places, but I just don't get this one. Why do you call it a mudguard? It isn't guarding anything from mud. :confused:
Oh, I don't know. I think I'm going to go and gt myself some aspirin. wink
