Hi. Wife called this morning to say she couldn't get any power to her sat nav via the lighter socket. The illuminated ring is on but no power. Tried the phone charger and same result. Any ideas? Cheers, Simon.

Fuse F44 @ 20 AMP. They're mini fuses so had to go to Halfords:(

All working. Couldn't see the removal tool anywhere so used a needle nosed pliers:confused:

Being Welsh, we do not have navigation as part of our genetic make up but Clare has English parents (she's an impure half breed:lol:) so does for the both of us:cool:

Have the same problem with mine, lights up but now power. Took the ashtray out and found that the wiring to the lighter had been cut off at their exit from the loom!!
Not enough to splice in some new cable without removing a huge chunk of the dash, not a smoker so don't use it. SatNav has enough battery power (if FM transmitter and Bluetooth are off) to be OK for 4-6 hours drive.
Since the wires are cut I'm also missing the socket that should plug into the lighter to make it work even if the wire were long enough.

2 screws to get the ashtray out so an easy check, might even be a loose connection at the back of the lighter.

Just to add to the potential problems combinations....my ring light works, my satnat works from the socket but the actual lighter plug does not. Obviously the resistive unit has just blown at some point and as I don't smoke and would not let anyone in my car who did (ever, haha) there is no real problem there. I bet replacements are a pain to come by too.
