I'm offered a set for EUR 69,= excl. transport (that's about 45 pounds for the people on the wrong side of the road and the Channel). Dunno 3 or 5 door yet (must have 5d types)
GET THEM! Maybe it's not THAT special, but they give the car an extra classic touch. I know they cost about 275 - 300 guilders (about 140 EURO's or something) at the Alfa dealer. The price is the same for 3 and 5 doors. And maybe not needed to say, but get the 5 drs (you've got 5 drs, don't you?), because they are NOT compatible with 3 drs.....obviously!
As we're speaking about this, they get scratched very easily. Is there a way to polish up the chrome and sort of "fill up" the scratches?
The ones from carros are different and are fitted on another spot than the original ones. You can have a look at mine at the meeting and find out which you like most. Personally I like the original ones far better than the ones from Carros.
Are the AR ones covering part of the rubber strip then? Because I now have black "Alfa Romeo" written logos there, so perhaps you have the chrome there?
I already want them installed during the meeting > impress you guys
I know the ones from carros, because a couple of months ago I did an inquiry on prices on floormats, chrome exhaust tail pipe and the chrome doorsteps as an addition to the ones I have now (I know, sometimes I can carry away a little bit). Wait a minute I think I have the prices somewhere here.........
I know they are expensive, but I think it would be a pitty if you bought the Carros ones and then maybe discovering that the original ones look better. We don't want to have a "cognitieve dissonantie" experience, do we? wink
Yeah, i'd go for the original AR ones rather than aftermarket jobbies!!!! Perhaps u can write it on your list for santa.... christmas is fast approaching!!
Anyway, I guess only thing I will do is perhaps some lowering (20 mm)... But then again, that are looks, not pepperoni
