Dear All
Can anyone help me with this question.
I have a friend who owns a Vauxhall Tigra, does anyone know at what time or mileage the Cam belt should be changed?
Amazingly Vauxhall will not give her a definitive answer!!
Your help would be apreciated.
Also if you may want to have your head in piece i would suggest to change also the water pump at those kms since if any of the 2 will make the timing belt cover to open then the pandora's box inside has to be peplaced in total and not partial.
yep with an ecotec (Every Component On This Engines Crap) change the belt every 30ish k or 3 years and always do the waterpump also get the cam belt kit and change all the rollers and tensioners.
if it's an X18XE it'll be every 40,000 miles, if it's a Z18XE it'll be every 60,000 miles. I'd guess it's a Z18XE, you can check by looking at the exhaust manifold, if the CATs built into it, it's a Z, if the CATs underneath it's an X........but as always, if in doubt sort it out lol
