Hello
I am in desperate need !!!!!! I used to have a 145 Cloverleaf (facelift 1999 model) and I loved it to bits. I did a stupid thing and sold it !! & bought a GTV, sold the GTV and now I own a Fiesta !!!! how embarasing and I am sorry. I am at the moment scowering the internet everyday trying to find another 145 Cloverleaf to Buy as I miss it so much, I really loved that car. The later the better !! can anyone help me find one or has any ideas about where to find one or has one for sale ?, I am a desperate man, and have tried everywhere. I suppose its just a case of being patient. oh well if anyone has any ideas i would be grateful ! Thanks

eek!

Bugger.
Yes. Speedlines are 6 holes, while teledials have rings, instead of holes in a solid disc. But I don't know how many rings, coz I can't count.

are teledials the 5 hole wheels or these? (or the 5 hole ones with, dare i say, rims - or are they flanges???)

Apologies for you 56k users, check it at work! wink

I am actually in an identity crisis anyway, and this thread doesnt help.

I want a nice cloverleaf (prob alfa red, i dont feel right in a blue alfa) with all the smart bits like non-minging wheels,

but then i think, what the hell, why not just get a v6 GTV instead. But then i would miss the 145 (my best car since my Fiat coupe (124, 1.8 1972)...I don't know how this is going to end....or where i belong

There is a solution to your quandary. Look at the Sportiva website. See the Proteo Red - Blue cloverleaf. Buy it.
Then you'll have a fantastic car, it won't be blue, but your login name on AO will still make sense.
We'll overlook your wrongness in preferring the teledials to the speedlines, coz you'll change your mind once you've had time to have a good look at the speedlines IRL on a 145.
Although, you'd better hope Rick doesn't see your post, he'll start frothing at the mouth again. wink

Not my fave - they look like teledials that have melted.

PS AJ - thanks for making this thread very hard to read!
Suggest you use Cropper 1.1 next time.

:D </strong><hr /></blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I concur. Don't like the melted look.
As to the GTV, I don't know. I'd certainly have the V6 GTV over the 145, if I could afford it, but the 2 litre? Not sure. It's a fantastic looking car, but you're sacrificing a lot of practicality considering no increase in performance.

Thats alright Rick! :D

Well I thought I'd put a nice LARGE picture up of a teledial, as some people were not sure what they were. I did a nice big one to capture all the detail :D

PS Dont tell an IT bod how to post pics - i had them large for a reason rant - to make the wheels look bigger than they really are :D :p

Anyway, if you're at work its not you paying for the bandwidth, so make sure the company gets value for money :D

Give him a break, he's only got a diddy monitor. Mrs. Rick's always complaining about it. :p

Did I mention that I think those wheels like fantastic on a GTV though? Must have slipped my mind...

If it makes you feel any better, even the none alfa people I brought with me to Oulton really loved your car. As far as they were concerned, it was the best of all the Alfas there, and that includes the old GTA at the bottom.
I think you've turned her away from the dark-side of wanting a TT.
