Hi everyone. I have just bought a 1999 156 ts 2.0 ss. The problem is if i put my foot down in any gear the revs stick at 4000rpm I can build speed gradualy but if i try to accelarate quickly i lose power and it's becoming quite embarrising a friend ran a diagnostics and there wa a stored code po221 unregonised code but also when he was testing it the accelerator position didnt move on his computer even though it was pressed any ideas please?

im not sure mate.

an easy possible to score of the list would be to disconnect MAF (air flow meter from air hosing),

Idlw iwll be rough, but should still drive ok. if its better after this you need a new one.

Lambda's / variator (does she sound diesel like on start-up?) are other possibles.

I stress these are total blind guesses from a novice, but give you somewhere to start - and a bump:)

checking the MAF is an easy one so you might as well have a go :)
