Hi all,

This kind of thread works well on several other forums I use and often sparks some great discussions / ideas. Just post up what it is you've done and feel free to comment on others posts, but be nice

Today - tracking set to zero toe as recommended on here. Needed doing as it's taken the inside edges off the fronts.

Took it to visit its sibling.
The G is my parent's car. They've just had their drive relaid and no cars are allowed on it for a few days, so the perfect opportunity for some pics of two Ghiaccio White Alfas together!

Haha, would you believe I didn't even notice the Fiat?!
Never been a fan of the 500.
Proof if it was ever needed that I only have eyes for Alfa :inlove:

 Cheers mate. It's not actually been washed for a few months.
Maybe something to do with all the rain we've had in Lancashire recently!

I'm sure it has more to do with being white. You'd spot a black car that hadn't been washed for a few months from across the street. I know...
few days more like, this really is the last time I have a black car, said it before but really mean it this time
White does seem to be great for looking reasonably clean, even with lazy gits like me who just can't be bothered washing cars!
When I bought my Spider I had a choice of 2 at the main dealer - both LEs with identical specs and mileage. One was white, one black. I just knew black would be a nightmare!

loaded my new map from Autolusso onto the car this afternoon. Apparently it already had a modded map on it but judging from the difference it can't have been any good. The car is transformed, and an absolute tower of power :D

Handbrake cable change :-(
I think mine has seized a little.

Aircon regas. It's lasted 6 months so it must have a slow leak. So much better with it though :)
Talking of leaks my wet rear passenger footwell is from something underneath I think.
I reckon there must be a bad seam.

Never posted on this section but in the 3 months of owning a black 2.4 Brera. Ive done:

DPF removed, EGR blanked and remapped
New Clarion satnav headunit
laser-cut stainless steel foot pedals
painted calipers yellow
four brand new uniroyal tyres
Front and back 159 mudflaps fitted
new rear light cluster (one kept fogging up)
All badges inc wheel centres changed to black/white/chrome versions
red interior accent lighting (foot-well and in the door-card pockets)
Have all the parts (except the controller, which is due anytime soon) for an angel eye conversion
and am booked in tomorrow for all the paintwork to be taken down a layer and polished/waxed.

Few more photos, will try and take a couple more at night. The door cards only light up when the doors have been opened and the foot-well lights activate with the interior lighting.

I take it the sports interior is a bit special? I bought my 159 because of the crema interior (some may call it tan :)). I hate black cars but the interior made it for me. Can't imagine black in black :p

it has, in my opinion, nicer stitching and feels firmer and holds you better in the car. ultimately its a subjective thing i perfur it, the cream/tan/hearing aid colour was a bit too old man for me.

also i have had a TI in the past and loved it but couldnt find a 3.2 Q4 Ti so doing a convertion, rightly or wrongly, but what ever makes you smile right?

Just got Nero back from Ned and the boys at AutoLusso, amongst trillions of other things done, Bilston B4/Eibach set up and powerflex bushes, Tarox discs all round and powder coated calipers. Oh, and 15 minutes ago slung on 19 prodrives with F1 Assy3 rubber.:smoker: Jeez, I knew the calipers would be close, but I'm sure you can still slide a couple of *** papers in between :biglaugh:

Just push fit. You just ream the inside of the surround enough so that it tightly grabs when you push fit. Doesn't scratch or mark, and ideal also if you want to carbon vinyl the console as they would hide the cut around the dial binnacles.
Vid below showing a 'how to', but obviously there isn't the need to remove parts from car to fit...just all in situ.

In the last four weeks I've:

Fitted four new parking sensors, so they now work, eventually.
Fitted two new shiny front fog lights.
Repaired both screen washer jets, so they now work.
Fitted a new non-return valve to the headlamp washers, so they now work.
Repaired a leaky SV roof with sealant.
Treated it to four new tyres, the old ones were only half worn but they were cracking.
Replaced the battery in an attempt to cure misfire, didn't work.
Replaced alternator to cure flickering in lighting and dashboard illumination. This also cured the engine misfire.
Refitted the original wiper blades with new refills. Ditched the ugly Bosch replacements.
Had a service at Peak Alfa.
But best of all, had a front end respray to get rid of stone chips and paint bloom caused by a car cover. :furious:

All to celebrate my Brera's tenth birthday.

Went out to Scarborough for the day in my Spider today, roof and windows fully down.

While I was out my re-trimmed wheel came back from Jack at Royal Steering, he really knows his stuff, I'm glad I went with extra thick leather.

And despite putting all the cream I could on in preparation for the temperatures, I've still ended up with part of my face and neck red sun tanned. Suppose it makes a change.

On a final note I found Scarborough has a really nice Italian Restaurant by the seafront, probably the best I've been too, will have to go back later in the year when I've got more appetite for the desserts they do which make all the places near me look pretty plain. Eating a dessert like that in this weather just ain't gonna happen.
