Saw Stephen's blog on "Who's got the highest mileage on their 166 on the forum" and thought it might be interesting to compare with the 159 which has only been going since 2006, petrol OR Diesel, mine's a 2007 1.9 JTDm Lusso Sportwagon, 1 Company owned F.S.H. and just on 95,000 (but looks and drives like half that!) anyone over the 100,000 yet and if so how's it performing?

Feeling positively youthful this morning at 92.5k having read this ...

Brilliant thread  and comforting to know at 18k per year she'll still be sub 200k by my early retirement :irked: when she'll be 20yrs old (that's less than average mileage init)

Since visiting Gus, she's like driving a different car  I think i've fallen in love all over again

Apologies for picture, but if you've also got an iphone you'll be used to that :censored:

My map does't really give power above 4000 rpm in 5. (190 km/h) and in 6. (230 km/h)
My top speed is affected by the size of my wheels. Where 245/45-18's give a higher GPS top speed than 225/40-18's...

But is am going to do some proper work to my DPF soon. There is some power loss in there for shure!

112k miles. Same clutch and gearbox. Biggest problem I have had is with some wiring wearing against a bracket and car cutting out randomly because of it. Had the problem for ages without garages finding it. All sorted now.

It's in with Ned at Autolusso shortly for cam belt and to have the swirl flap removed.

97k on mine '08 1.9 16v jtdm. Got at 40k (in 2011 I think)

Cambelt and water pump done at 60k. EGR and DPF blanked at around 55k, best thing I've done, the next 10-20k just got smoother as the crap got cleaned out with the flow.

Issues: EGR and MAF sensors failed around 50k (think the car had been sitting round a while before I purchase for the egr).
Wiring (in the drivers fusebox) to low pressure fuel pump failed around 80k.
Both rear Ti springs snapped (around 500miles between each!) at around 92k.

Okay guys, did a quick search on the German Autoscout side and a few interesting things showed up:

A 159 with, as the seller claims, 1'850'022 kilometers on the tacho :yikes::yikes: - I strongly suspect this can't be true, must be a typo somewhere...

However, the list has plenty of high-milers with 318K, 270K and many more with more than 200K on the clock - that's a good sign for us all

How much does it cost to 'rebuild' an engine, specifically for the 159?
