Well had a great surprise today, i sold a set of wheels on ebay to a chap from Wales and he came to collect them in a gtv tb.

After a brew n alfa chat he offered to go for a spin as he could tell I am as alfa mad as him.
I know these are rare in the uk and wasn't going to pass up the opportunity. This was a left hand drive so felt a little strange. The wasn't much noticeable difference looking at the car just the front grill. The engine bay looks just as good as the v6 this tb has done 150k and needs a bit of tlc as the he has not long bought it for £160 yes £160 and sounds like he's got some good plans for her starting with the wheels I sold him.

So out on the open road and great power delivery hit 100 in no time a little delay and then wooosh! Fantastic, Felt low n light n very quick!

Well made my day! :)

Just one problem...... I want one!

I did drive a TB chipped to 235bhp back in the late 1990s, when more of these LHD TBs were about in the UK. The one I drove had been imported by Autolusso. Very addictive, just launched itself when the turbo kicked in, although having said that the delivery was still very smooth.

I agree, I'd like one as well. Gearing of the 5 speed box is perfect. Overall, in some respects, better than a 24v, particularly when it's chipped!
Autodelta?

i read they are good for tunning to 260bhp and the chap told me only 9 right hand drivers in the uk so coming across one will be hard. he drove over from wales and it only achieved 20mpg its alot thirstier that his v6 and doesnt think is as quick, different kind of power he was saying. If i won the lottery i would have one, a tb spider, cup number 1, 4c and stradale. :)

i wonder if any other country in the EU sell 916 as cheep as UK and tb arent rare like they are in the uk. This particular tb was imported from Netherlands.

fly over, make a weekend of it, drive home in a tb......sound like fun lol!
