I'm having a lot of problems with the ground clearance on my 159 Tbi TI and I'm more and more tempted to replace TI suspension with a standard one to gain some ground clearance (snow, bad roads). Did anybody attempted that?
Since it will ruin the looks - does anybody know if it is possible to custom make springs 10mm higher than TI ones (so to find a middle ground?). I have a particular problem when the car is loaded (luggage + kid behind) - the rear sits very low (no elephants in the back or brick pallets). On top of that, geometry guys says that the rear is out of adjustments and I am getting rear tires eaten on insides (so camber is wrong). Plus, I am getting high pitched "old sofa" sound from the rear over rough surface.... The car is not yet 3y old and has only 43k km on the clock. Should not happen that soon...:tut:
Would appreciate some views.
