I was going to say that! Inlet setting plate replaces the bearing cap of cylinder 2 and the exhaust plate replaces bearing cap of cylinder 3 when piston 1 is at TDC.

1.6 set ( Sealey silver) is different to 1.8 and 2.0 set (bronze coloured).

I have a Sealey set, I could scan the instructions and send a copy if you wish.

Laser Tools | Home

If you look at the above site and put in your details including engine type number you'll see that they do list different locks from 2004 laser code 4935 or C419 (oem ends 734 000) whereas another 3629 or C135 (oem ends 042 000) for 2001 onwards. So perhaps there is a difference.

If you pm me with your email address I'll send picture and Sealey instructions; I realise they're not the make of lock you have but you'll have instructions on usage.

Where did you get yours from? Not them perhaps! Although you'll need to contact them to get a refund so try for an exchange. I did a google search and cam up with quite a few, most around the £35 to £45 mark. EB spares, various tools suppliers and a guy that does his versions, I'll see if I can find his site for you.

Even cheaper. I've had tools from him with no problems. They are copies but work just fine.
