Looking for some points of view.

Recently had the body computer changed, and since picking up the car from the garage, the signal in my key fob has been very week.

Before i took the car in, it would work from approx. 10ft radius of the car, but now, i can only get it to work when the key is right in front of the windscreen or under the N/S front wheel arch.

I have replaced the battery thinking that this could be the reason, but it hasnt improved it.

Do you think that the replacement of the BC could have anything to do with it or do you think it is just a coincidence that it has happened at the same time and the actual sender in the key is on its way out?

Cheers

Just to note, i have rang the garage, and they said they can have a go at re-programming the key to see if that would help, but if not, a new one will be required.

I would of thought that it is either programmed or not, so not sure if reprogramming would help with the distance that it works from?

Even working at 10ft radius doesn't sound too good. I can lock or unlock my '05 147 from well over 50ft.

I've noticed that a powerful radio transmitter nearby would all but disable the remote on my previous cars until I moved away but I haven't been near one with the Alfa.

The receiver is mounted on the front bulkhead so it is possible that in changing the canbus ecu they have disturbed something.
Sorry I can't be more specific but I`m not as up to date on the 147 as the 156. Hopefully someone with more technical knowledge can tell you exactly where to look.
