the boot release has packed up.

all my previous efforts have being putting right what was wrong when I bought it, its took 15 months for something to actually go on it, well that was not a consumable, ie brake pads

Not bad for a temperamental Italian rust bucket eh? :)

still enough being broken on ebay so should not cost too much as long as I do not break the key in the mean time as it damn stiff without any assistance.

Do you know what the fault is? I ask because I had to rewire the boot recently - some of the wires had failed in the flexible coupling where they enter the bootlid. A b****er of a job because I had to take out the back seats (easy) and parcel shelf (not so easy) to get to the connector.

Key wont be stiff in the lock if you push down on the bootlid lip as you turn - This is the method noted in the manual to bypass solenoid operation.
