Member Garage Now Open!
We have added a place to put your car, we have called it, The AO Member Garage!
When using your garage, please respect our sites reputation, try to add good quality images, but as low a file size as possible (50kb each Max). Strictly only Alfa Romeos images may be posted to your AO garage. Any members uploading anything other than the forementioned will have their garage permissions taken away.
I hope you all enjoy this new automated feature. We have other fun and useful projects in the making. However, it seems we have a couple of gremlins with the member garage which wasnt picked up with beta testing, but we will address these as and when we find the fix.
- Submit pages not always redirecting
- Layout crashes when using old versions of Opera Browsers
Members using the dark modern style/skin can find Member Garages by clicking the Garage button on the top right of your screen. (Old-archive button location) or by entering your User CP. Classic Skin members may temporarly use the following link until all work is complete (PM 02-06-04) but I believe the link is available on your quick link menu. View/Add/Edit Member Garages
Enjoy away!
Regards,
Ian.
My special thanks go to Selespeed for his help with some of the coding/Beta testing.

Bug noted Thank you

Little bug... Submit is working OK, but it doesn't return with a completion message after submit, just back to the same form. Also 'Return to Listings' has no functionality...

Weird, please tell us which browser you have, works fine with my IE6 and Mozilla, however, u are right, the submit is working OK, but it doesn't return with a completion message after submit or even return you to your garage, not sure how we can get round this as its a hack to the board software and not VBulletin software, any budding php experts please feel free to help us out on that one if you can.

IE 6.0.2800 XP-SP1... and if a certain person tells me to 'upgrade' to Linux, I'll personally slap him.

Re: Member Garage Now Open!
Okay, the first time ever that you submit your car, is the only time it doesnt redirect you, back to your entry, like I said, if I knew how to get round it, I would.
Thanks again

Ian, Just updated my photos and the same happened again.
Submit didn't redirect. Back to Listings also ineffective.

It wasn't on the main menu yet.
This evening I have added a link to the member garage in the top navigation in the modern skin and a link in the Quick Links menu in the classic skin.

Re: Member Garage Now Open!
Dunno if anyone else has this problem... when viewing a profile, when you click on a thumbnail I would expect it to load the bigger picture... however it just loads a tiny new window, with black background & the famous red cross no pic icon.
IE 6.0.2800.1106 SP1 on win2k sp4 + later updates
Don't take this as 100% not working, as I'm at work, so the problem might not be your end

Almost the same
I use mozilla and when I click a thumbnail a little window pops up with a black background. Then the picture loads and after that the window resizes to the size of the picture.

Just done mine, as jpg 600 x 400ish pixels at about 1/2 its previous quality level and it's come out at 28Kb...
I used this as I'm at work and it was the only bit of image software I could find to download to resize an image !!
Click on the link below and then pick your OS from the right hand side
http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html
Once installed there's an Image menu which has a resize/resample option and keeps your image proportional and then save as a JPEG and click the options button to drop the quality down !
