Where Is Everyone Located?

well, see that's the thing! there is absolutly loaaads of alfa's on the road up here.. maybe most people around here are in the yorkshire room for now.. i'll get over there n post stuff about here, try and convert them... mwahahaaa ( but i wont poach)

I'm new (but don't hate me for it) and don't have an Alfa yet (but really don't hate me for it). I'm based in Scunthorpe and travel to Lincoln every day, and i can vouch for Ben there are a lot of Alfas about round here. Maybe just too busy out driving to check out the internet....

As i mentioned i'm looking to buy, do you know of any 156 JTDs for sale in the area?

Hi to all. Scunny. I was previously a member of AROC and used this forum. I stopped because no one seemed bothered to follow up anything that was posted by myself. I decided that I was unclean and departed so as not to infect anyone else. I did defect briefly to owning a 04 plate Cooper S however it didn't last and I am now back to driving my second GTV, a Y plate 2.0 TS. It seems that each one I have owned has very poor dipped lights so I now just close my eyes when cars are coming towards me and feeling the roadside kerb with the nearside wheels. Just joking. Does the club still meet at the Red Lion at Redbourne? I went a couple of times when I owned my 166 but again no one answered emails and even the club secretary has not replied to my emails so I am no longer an AROC member. I would willingly pay my fees if someone would "talk" to me. It seems the owners of Alfa's appear to be afflicted with same desease that the parent company is afflicted with. No wonder Alfa's have a poor reputaion amongst the general motoring public. We need some enthusiasm. I acknowledge GTV drivers with a h/l flash but rarely if ever replied to unlike the CooperS clan. I have been an ALfa fanatic for more years than I care to remember but I am alone out there suffering from the ignore him desease. Sorry this is long winded, I just had to have my say. Alfaman20:

For what its worth Jrichas i have been a member of the AROC in the past and found the members in the main to be (lets be polite) rather aloof.Also at events I attended alot of people seemed to get the 'green eyed monster disease' and try and find fault with my car.I know there are alot of satisfied members who may argue that the club is friendly etc,but i speak as i find, as they say, and that was my experience.As you can gather I no longer subscibe.

I agree.. i do think there is too much of a divide here for some.. most have stayed with the old rooms..

Unfortunately, i have been having quite a crisis and have not been here for a while.. i want to come back with a vengeance.. but i'm not too sure about the interest i can drum up.

I didn't know there was a Humberside forum at all, as I class myself as been in East Yorkshire. We should all get together and be proud of our Alfa's. Humber Bridge would be good. What do you all think?

I'm always up 4 a meet, a sunday in march suits me fine and the humber bridge is a great location, if you take the 3rd exit ( i think) at the roundabout after leaving the bridge it leads to hessle foreshore, nice place with plenty of parking space

Oh dear i must 'up my game'

As most you (all three of you) might have noticed i have not been on for quite sometime.. mainly due to changing jobs, being ill over xmas and all sorts of things.. i might be buying a new home in tuesday too..

But i have to make this room work.. its far too quiet for me and i like big speakers.

I'll be back again later this week.
