i'm based in Gainsborough , would anyone near to me be willing to bring their GTV/spider over so i can compare engine bays !? want to check all wiring is as it should be, mines a CF1 on a MY1998

Yep, as Jill says, Rob is the nearest guy to you with a Spider.

There is also Steve, smuscian, he's up in Broughton with a P1 GTV.
