Detailing tuition Lincs or Emids

I just saw a thread about detailing which had a link to a company that does tuition as well as the full monty 24hr service.
It got me thinking that since the cost of a full detail may well be prohibitive (£285 on the site mentioned) for many of us, if we knew of a local reputable detailer that would be prepared to impart some knowledge for a group/club fee, would anyone else be interested?
I for one would really benefit from a bit of immediate guidance that this sort of thing could allow. It would likely be BYO polish, wax etc so costs could be nice and low.

So, if you know a decent detailer who wants guru status or you are interested in the idea lets hear from you.

It would make a good Meet, although personally I'm not really into washing and polishing - and that's for myself never mind the Cars.........

I don't know of anywhere/one so it's open to suggestions.

Personal hygiene aside Nige, I'm sure the GTV would appreciate some more TLC, especially on the run up to summer.
I've just mailed a guy in Lincoln called Auto Elite Detailing. I'll let you know if I get a reply.

The '6 is nice and clean but the TS isn't, will be getting some tlc next week. Won't last long though as the zillions of Collared Doves I have around my place will no doubt find it very attractive to dump on.............

Dont even go there Nige! Had to put my private plate on retention again, they dont accept card payments over the phone Had to go to the "not so local office" in peterborough only to find its been re-designed so now instead of going straight upstairs and waiting for hours to be seen you now have to go downstairs and wait hours to get a ticket which entitles you to go upstairs to wait to be seen Not happy with the DVLA right now

Ok, we've managed to agree on most things but need help from anyone interested with regard to the location of the meet. The challenge is to find somewhere under cover/indoors that would protect us from any inclement weather. If anyone can suggest a viable solution please let us know. Will consider Lincoln/Newark/Sleaford and possibly Gainsborough areas too.
Does anyone know if there is space around the Karting track at downtown Tesco?

Hi Guys and sorry about the delay. Our man is in talks regarding a suitable venue and is juggling the upload of his website too so we can have a good look at the work.
As soon as I know more I will do the official date and location teaser before setting up an event via Nige.

If anyone is interested I had mine done by a guy setting up a new detailing busiiness, last year. He isn't doing it at the moment as no-one can afford the cost, but I'm sure he'd be preapred to impart some knowledge...for a fee....just more local to us here in Cambs, an excellent idea tho Mark

OK we have some progress so this is the official gaging interest post.

Ian at Auto Elite Detailing - Home has agreed to help us out on this and we have a venue off Outer Circle Road in Lincoln. Suggested dates for interest are Sat 25th June or Sat 2nd July depending on you guys. It will be for a full afternoon and the cost will be about £10 without refreshments or £15 and I'll organise some food for when we are done around tea time. The costs reflect the advice given and the use of water/electric and likely some products although it is advised you bring your own so you can see if they are of use.
Ian has asked that places be limited to 10 cars. If we are having problems filling the spaces then we can throw it open to non forum users/alfa drivers who are interested in understanding a bit more about taking care of the car.
Please post below if you are interested - state the preferred date and number of people you will be coming with.
Include comments too if you want to open it up for discussion.
