Not me Kev, I was watching that meeting from the comfort of my sofa, had been on duty at Silverstone all weekend for the FIA GT1, GT3 and GT4's, too long in the tooth to be zipping about the country.....but I have been told of this mystery me who does bike meetings only......may come face to face at the BSB and WSB and MotoGP rounds, as I have my invite to marshal at all of them.....

Most weekends till October I will be at Silverstone, BSB has got more competative teams now and the races at Cadwell should be very close........

must admit i much prefer to see the bikes on tv rather than the cars, much better racing

not been to a bike meeting yet so the BSB at cadwell should be a good first

a weekend ticket isn't bad either sunday only is £24 in advance but a weekend ticket (which the lady at brands hatch assured me is for all 3 days, friday/saturday/sunday) is only £29

2 extra days without the crowds for an extra fiver is a result in my book

The weekend ticket is a bargain even if you only go 2 days, handy in case the forecast is for rain one of the days......

I also prefer bikes on TV as you see more of the action, but I am still excited about the events at Silverstone having now seen action on the new Arena GP circuit, Rossi will love the technical sections, where the rider matters most........

Make sure you get yourself to the top of the mountain for a Superbike session, the early sessions will be best, the riders love to play over the top of there. It will stupid busy their on Sunday and you will probably have to pay extra but Friday and Saturday should be OK.

thanks guys looking forward to this now, booked the friday & staurday off work so 3 straight days of bike action coming my way friday should be a better day to have a good look around and see the action from different places, i like viewing from barn corner for car racing, the bikes should be awesome through there

another nice little bonus is one of the support races, quite unusual for a bike meeting, the fiat 500 championships

silverstone layout looks quite a bit different stu, last corner of becketts looks like it will be tightened also? or is that just for that bike track day?? have to admit it looks like it will make a good track for the bikes now, the last corner should be interesting bikes leant over round the long tight bend then trying to gather speed in the dash for the line, then having to turn a bit more

God put me on this Earth to finish a certain number of projects. Right now I'm so far behind I will never die!

Had those as a support race at Silverstone last month, if it's the Zing Trofeo Abarth ones......2 rolled, one between Maggots and Becketts, I was on post at Becketts outside so got a good view without having to roll it off is roof ( driver was perfectly ok)....pretty rapid with 190bhp on tap..............

They reckon the average speed for a lap will be over 125mph for the bikes, can't wait for the MotoGP, hope I get a post in the arena section.........all the press reports from riders, drivers and commentators have been excellent so far........

yes mate, that's the ones sounds like fun

vicky butler henderson was due to drive one and do reviews through the year in auto italia magazine, but she had to give up the drive due to fifth gear getting going again on channel5, her brother has taken over the drive i think

do like these competitive one make championships, honda crx's used to be entertaining, and the renault 5 ts racers and as for the P100 pick ups

do remember seeing classic jags treating each other like banger racers on the cadwell shgort track back in the late 80's, kept ramming each other at the hairpin nera to the mountain, where you cross the road

They were a big disappointment at Oulton - only three really competitive drivers (8 seconds difference in lap time between the leader & last place in one race!), not very close racing & they don't look fast . . . sound bloody awful as well!

Oulton was their first meeting & things may improve; the potential's there, but not yet realised?
