Lincs Evening Meet – Classic Cars And A Jenny Wren.
We are heading for the badlands of North Lincolnshire for this Meet.

This is a 17th Century Riverside Inn and Restaurant situated on the banks of the River Trent. Very pleasant location and the pub itself is very charming and olde worlde with very interesting décor in the spacious and welcoming Bar area. Decent selection of beers on offer as well as an extensive Menu, sample pages attached in Post # 1 but there is more on offer than I have Posted, check out the Website. No need to pre order, just order on the night BEFORE 21.00.
There are a few picnic tables on the river bank, be very nice if the weather is kind enough to let us sit outside and watch Old Man River wash away.
However you may be more interested in what you should see on the dry side of the River……. The reason that this Meet is on the second Tuesday Evening of the Month is very simple – The Classic And Sports Car Show that is held on this day throughout the Summer, See Post # 1 for details. This is a very ad hoc affair, no one pre books as attending, just turns up on the night. There have been some very nice cars and exotica in the past but it’s all Pot Luck, could be lots, could be very little, if it’s snowing may be nothing at all, except us !!! Lets make this a fine showing of Alfas whatever the weather.
I have suggested an earlier start than usual although I know some of you can only make it after work. All I can suggest is that you get there as early as you can as the car park isn’t really that big, 30 cars at the most, and this could fill up very quickly. The overspill is on the little country roads by the side of the pub, I’m told that this can make life interesting ! See Pics in Post # 2

Arrive as early as you can for this one folks. The meet will last as long as you want it to, no shame if you have to leave a bit earlier than most or you can stay until they chuck us out, no pressure, let’s just take it easy and enjoy the evening.
If you are new to the meets don’t be shy and just come along, we don’t bite, just drool a bit ! You needn’t come alone, bring wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend or even granny, everyone is very welcome. Coming in an Alfa is not mandatory, just come along and enjoy the wide ranging conversations, you don’t have to be a car nut to enjoy these Evening Meets, although it might help for this particular Meet !
This should be a really cracking Meet, Classic Cars, Fine Wining And Dining in the heart of the North Lincolnshire countryside, please try not to miss this one. RSVP NOW and I’ll see you there, hopefully with Kev’s ‘sud, Marks Sprint and, again hopefully, my newly refurbed ’6 ! That should be at least three Classic Alfas so lets fill the Car Park with more modern Alfa’s as well, we could make a take over bid here !!!

already put my rsvp in. Dont think i can make that next week tuesday one as dont finish work unit late so i maybe swing by for a quick swifty jar on my way home
