World Record Attempt - Lincs Chat.
This is a little Temporary Thread for any chat about the World Record Attempt shown in the Link.
Done it this way so that the National RSVP Event Thread gets the responses and not our little Linky Thread.
Nothing to stop us talking about it amongst ourselves though !

Hi Jilly we are going but we may go down on the saturday as my sister in law liin Ewell so we will stay there but great to meet up there

Not yet Jill. Looking at this Thread there doesn't seem to a lot of Lincs interest in this right now, I may have to spend some time ploughing through the RSVP's....
My thinking cap blew away in Skegness, along with the few remaining Brain Cells I had left !

Just done a trawl through the RSVP’s for this Event and it does seem that not many of the Lincs Mob are going. The only ones confirmed seem to be rhett71, Alfageezer and jillyflower. ( Firecracker too but for convoy purposes this doesn’t count. Sorry P !!! )
Still think it unlikely that I will be attending either but things could change.
Still time to get more people but if not and you do want a convoy a meet up with the EM Crew could be the way to do it.
Perhaps it will become clearer later………
Have you seen the Lincolnshire Lounge ? Don't stay off the radar, come on in and have a look !

I registered on the day after it was announced, and was going to meet the Oxford members, but they are not leaving till 10am, doesn't leave much time to drool over other Afas, so I am looking at joining another convoy..... Where I live there seems to be 3 routes to choose from...

Sorry Stuart, missed you on the RSVP list, with nearly 300 yes's not really surprising given my reading abilities......
Hard to say what's going to happen, hope enough people turn up at Ancaster so we can have a chat about it......

I will definately be at Ancaster, provided no earthquakes, and like I said, the route down is open for me, would be nice to go with people I have already met..... ....so see you on the 30th....

If any of you Lincs lot fancy meeting up with us East Midlanders for a convoy south have a look at this thread (East Mids to Guiness World Record Attempt: Epsom). Would be great if a few of you can make it I will post a convoy event thread when we have a few takers

Hi Nick, didn't know you were down for this one, one of the 300 hundred lucky ones then !!
Not many, as far as I can see, going down from Lincolnshire, might be an idea to look at the East Midlands Section to see what convoy arrangements that there may be.

we seem to have completely missed the boat and maybe part of the solent on this one,,,,
i am suprised that a record attempt such as this being restricted...
oh well theres always next year.

Wasn't much interest here, as far as I know only about six from the Lincs section going.

Would also have preferred to do it in the '6 but it's not prepared for an Event like this yet. Shouldn't be too long though - fingers crossed !
