Karting Challenge - Next Year.

Hi every one.

Please take a look at the Link, Post #48 on. We are challenged to an event next year at Ancaster. What do you think ?

It's a long time away yet but would be good if we can some idea of the amount of interest.

http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/linco...t-ideas-2.html (Alfa Meet Ideas)

I'll try to get all all future comments and ideas on to this Thread.

Yep, looks like the "BOOzers" as we're known are well up for it too.

Will probably be in July to enhance the chances of getting good weather.

Couple of links to help generate the interest: -

Ancaster Karting webby: -

Kart racing, karting and paintballing in Lincolnshire. We are not associated with GO BALLISTIC

Pics from last years BOO meet: -

::: Bravo/a Owners Organisation : The Bravo Guide :::

There's also paintballing, quads and ten pin bowling if anyone fancies that after / before the karting although trust me, after the endurance race you just want to get to the camp site, stick up the tent and start necking the brewskies while Tommy fires up the BBQ.

Last time we did the AKR Challenge. Teams of 2 (£80 per team) minimum 6 teams for a 10 min qualifying session for each driver and then 1 hour endurance race (40 mins total per driver).

Was an awesome day and staying on for the camping with BBQ was great. Camp site is nearby and owned by the father of one of our members so free.

So, £40 each plus chuck in a fiver for food and bring your own drinks for a top weekend.

It's a fantastic track, been there a couple of times. I'll be up for it..... but a bit too long away to commit 100%

Plus it's a 10 min drive from my house!

Will try to firm up a date in the next few weeks so we can make sure both the campsite and the track are available. £10 deposit per person is needed to book.

Nice to see Oz is drumming up more support.

Depending on numbers we have a few options... well 2!

1) in the Orchard

2) in football pitch sized Paddock.

This event has always been very popular but the truth is, has always run at a financial loss to me..... but it's never bothered me cos I'm having my BOO mates round for 1 hell of a party.

We'll see how things are looking next year but the price might have to go up for the BBQ (£5 to 6 or 7)

It does include a bacon butty in the morning tho which Oz forgot to mention!!

The simple fact is, it's a group of people who love cars & food (maybe a beer too) that spend a saturday afternoon hoooning round a karting track, then chat into the night about anything and everything!

oowwww.... all excited now

Been thinking about this too, perhaps put it in the main forum or perhaps try to involve bordering AO sections such as EM and Yorkshire.

Early days yet, give it a littler longer and keep bumping this Thread and then if nothing seems to be happening we'll think about the next move.

Morning G. Glad to see you are organized for the essential medic attention you will need.

Does C have a uniform ?????????

Pity you can't make Aarons 75 meet and greet. How about the Threekingham one ?
