Dunno about GOOD pubs, I'm going on GOOD LOOKING pubs !! Could be quite a difference 'tween the two !

Blimey, 13 Sept seems a long time off. Not sure about it even so, generally Sundays and Mondays are not good for me.

Where abouts do you live Martin?

I hope to be able to get things going around the county. For August I think we should be looking for something just South of Lincoln. Perhaps after that we could find somewhere up near Louth or area ?

Personally, during our short 'summer' I think it may be worthwhile getting a few meets organised,or else for those of us unable to get this months meeting, summer has gone before you know it .

You have a point Martin. Currently we seem to be looking at about Monthly evening meets with the odd day out sort of meet thrown in as an extra.

I'll be posting some ideas soon but if you have anything in mind jump in and lets see what happens.

Looking at late August for the next evening meet and probably somewhere around Louth, which I hope is OK for you.

See you soon.

Nice one,I think that sounds fine, however can I say that I am on hols late August so I wouldn't want you to orgainise a meet especially for me as i can't make it anyhow. (I do realise there are plenty of other people in this neck of the woods). For me I would like to see a meet North of Lincoln somewhere ,but typically not sure what would be popular with members.

How about a 'fix a GTV party' in Lincoln

I'll provide the GTV, if you'll provide the spanners!

Can't see this one taking off, sadly !

I'll be proposing a meet for next month later this week, think it will be about 30 miles from you.

Up for it ?

Might not get the spanners out but we could probably talk it into submission !

Hi All,

If you fancy a meeting at BLS I can arrange that - Tom from BLS is my Dad! We did an open afternoon for the AROC Lincs section back in March - we had a selection of race cars/rally cars on display and were able to give visitors an insight into the racing and car preparation. We also ran demonstrations on the Smart Examiner diagnostic tool - this proved popular too!

Let me know if this may be of interest (I don't work there but would come over for the racing chat!).

Regards,

Bryan Shrubb.

Morning Bryan,

I think we may be up for that sometime. I of course have known your dad for quite a few years, always looked after me very well.

Perhaps it would be easier if I popped in to see him one day ??

What days do you think would suit dad and Phil ?

Thanks very much for your input, much appreciated.

Hi Nige,

We did a Saturday afternoon back in March. Thursday evenings may also be possible as that is a late working day! The best thing to do is to establish an approximate number of people interested (for a Thursday or a Saturday), then call direct - in the meantime I'll mention it so he knows what your talking about!

Bryan

Hi Bryan,

My initial thoughts are for a Sat afternoon, probably in Nov if you think that would be OK. I'll trawl around to get an idea of interest and speak to your Dad.

Thanks a lot for the info. I hope that when you are in the area you'll come along to one our meets, bring Dad and Phil too !

Nige.

Yeah I'm up for some sort of a Saturday afternoon shindig anywhere in the region - as long as I've a bit of warning I can generally adapt

If you want a REALLY good real ale pub you want to have a meet at Yarborough Hunt in Brigg, North Lincolnshire. We can head out and do a Wolds-top run then.

If you're all up for a bit of a challenge situation, over on BOO we have held a couple of Karting days, the last one of which was at the Ancaster track followed by a BBQ and overnight camping.

Could perhaps get a AOLincs vs. FIATBOO meet on for next summer if there's enough interest?

Oddly enough a trip to Ancaster for Karting/Quads and bowling has been thought about so something like you suggest could be a good one, perhaps for next Spring ?

We'll have to get together nearer the time to work it out.

No worries. Our organiser is based in Lincs and I'm often up that way as I'm originally from Wisbech-istan.

I'll drop him a line to say that we might be on for next year. We usually do it in June / July to improve the chances of decent weather.
