Just bought myself a 145 Cloverleaf
Just bought a 1997 145 Cloverleaf as a runabout. Got it off a work colleague who was relocating to Florida, so needed a quick sale. £500 with 12 months MOT, and only 64000 miles on the clock... RESULT!
Needs a wash and clean at the moment. But with the weather like it is, it doesn't stay clean for long!

Re: Just bought myself a 145 Cloverleaf
Nice one!! Great fun cars. I've had two!!

Try and get an honest answer from the previous owner when the cambelt was done.
If it wasn't in the last 3 years or 36,000 miles get it down to Wyn Lear sharpish!!

Re: Just bought myself a 145 Cloverleaf
Got fairly limited history with it, so Cambelt is top of list.
It's a quick little car though, isn't it? 100mph is far too easy.
Only problem I've noticed so far is that the nose sits quite low - i catch it on the way into work if I'm going over 5mph at the entrance.
Think that I'll need to do a respray - the previous owner used T-cut to try to restore some colour to the Red paint.... but that's just taken off the laquer (oops!).
Will probably just do maintainance up till summer, then start doing some mods perhaps (don't worry, it won't have lexus lights and a bodykit off ebay!).

Re: Just bought myself a 145 Cloverleaf
Good choice!
As well as the cambelt have the plugs been changed? I think they're every 60000 miles. A bargain still for £500 of your English pounds!
