I have always coveted an Alfa, esp a 156 and recently got the chance to but a facelift 03 156 when my Skud Octy vRS was written off by a friendly articulated lorry that must have known about my Alfa desires!
Never been much of one for oil burners but new job = commute, so DERV came onto the agenda. Tested a 150bhp Leon Tdi Cupra. Pokey but no cigar and sooo lacking in soul. Just felt, well, nice and not 'special'. Tested a 2.4 JTDm at Black & White and fell in love. Easiest sell they've ever had. Sportwagon, in red, 17in wheels, in very nice condition all round. Flew through an AA inspection. Excellent sales service by B&W who put on a new MOT, service and discs and pads all round along with a few cosmetic bits.
Have to say that I'm dead chuffed with the car and really impressed with the friendly and helpful people that I've spoken with at various independent Alfa specialists, garages and tuners etc.
