Good morning. I have recently purchased an Alfa 147 2litre. I did this because my beloved Mazda 323BA was written off by another driver. I had driven the Mazda for 4 years but rather than find another good one (and because my son has just bought a Brera) I bought this Alfa. I am not an alfa virgin having owned a 1300 junior in the seventies and a 1.5 ti Sud in the eighties. I paid £750 for this car with a full mot (funny that as the washer pipe was split and a stop light bulb was out?) but still it is a great car, fast and comfortable, two previous owners and almost immaculate. Everything works except the driver heated seat and the remote which probably needs new key fobs which are very worn after 100,000 miles. The car has no recent service records but has obviously been well maintained and the engine whirrs away nicely with no actuator rattle. I have no idea when the cam belt was changed and this is of concern to me as I think the car is a 'keeper' and I am not that young. If I have to I will change the belts my self. So, that is the story so far wish me luck!
