Hey there all,
I'm Steven, I'm 22, living in North Beds, and I'm training to become a driving instructor. By the time you've replied to this, I should be the proud owner of 1999, Alfa Romeo 2.0TS in Silver
The body work is mint, minus a small dent that has been pulled out and smoothed on the rear left quarter panel, and a slightly disappointing respray! All the seems though are all equal and I have no concerns on previous crash damage. ALL the interior electrics are working including air con. The gear box is sweet, the clutch is sweet, the cooling and fan are all alive and kicking in at 90c!
The only work needed is the cambelt, which my brother and I will be changing ourselves (immediately). The car has annoyingly enough missed its 72,000 mile service, and gone on to do 94,000 miles fine (so I'm hoping this car is lucky!) The variator seems fine, with no diesel sound at all. Because of the cambelt change needed, I've haggled him down to £1100. I'm planning to change the auxiliary belt too, and I may well change the water pump at the same time pending advice.
Any advice is extremely welcome as a pure noobie and noobie to the whole Alfa experience!
Can't wait to own it!!!
