I recently bought my first Alfa, a 2004 147 1.6 Turismo and as such joined the big happy (most of the time) family of Alfanatics.
A great car, even my girlfriend has warmed to it..I actually had to tell her to slow down the other day and believe me that was a first!
A great website too. Such a wealth of info and advice at the click of a button! BRILLIANT.
I have already managed to solve a couple of issues I "inherited" and will be investigating a couple of the recommended specialist garages after getting a quote from Guildford dealership of £800 for a service and to replace cam belt as recommended by Alfa (but not advised by seller when I bought her!
) She`s only done 15,000 miles!!!
Sadly the mystery of the radio that comes on all by itself when no one is around still remains! I've tried fiddling with the menu settings as suggested on here, but this didnt cure it. Now I remove the fuse but this knocks out leccy windows, aircon, alarm beeper etc etc.
Same dealer advised that radio problem was known issue and they could supply a reconditioned headset for £201.10 excl fitting!!!
Do you think they would part ex it or should I shop around??
Cheers and nice to meet you all
