My 147 2.0 Selespeed (51) is playing silly buggers at the mo. Its due to go to the docs this afternoon.
Wednesday - Was pulling away from a roundabout in City Mode when I got a message saying "Selepeed System Failure". Had a bit of a panic - pulled over - then realised that although City Mode seemed broken, I could still use the paddles to change gear (not without the most annoying beep accompanying every gear change though). So got it booked into the alfa garage for this afternoon.
Yesterday - Then car decided to have a bit more fun. Simultaneously the VDS failure & ABS failure warning messages came on.
Been looking at the messages on this site & another alfa site and a lot of posts seem to point towards the battery - and this is feasible cos it had been standing for 3 weeks while I was in hospital with appendicitus. But It did manage a long journey after the 3 week period of inactivity, so maybe it isnt the battery.
Just worried it is gonna cost a bomb at the garage.
Anyone have any of the same problems fixed without a massive bill?
Any responses appreciated
