Hi,
I don't actually own an AR just yet, but a 156 Sportwagon is very high, if not top, on my " I want one of them " list.
So, I've got a couple of grand to spend and I thought I would tap into the people in the know.
I am looking for a petrol and manual box model.
Any and all advice will be graciously received.
Many thanks in advance,
Dodd.

Firstly welcome.
Secondly its not "speed" its "sport"

There are a couple of links you should check out

You will have a choice of almost all the petrol 156SW at your budget with the exception of the GTA so a choice then of 1.6 1.8 and 2.0 twinsparks, 2.0JTS and 2.5 V6.
The 1.6 is probably a bit lacking in low down torque. For all of the engines make sure the timing belt and tensioners have been changed on time and the waterpump on the V6 (the twinnies aren't so problematic but to change one the timing belt has to come off anyway).
Preferably get one with 2 working keys if you can.
