help with my pride & joy
Hi all,
I have recently bought a 2001 spider (2.0, lusso spec) which is my pride and joy. I love the car, but since I don't know it's history I am slightly conscious of any strange behaviour...
The car originally came from a Honda dealership - it was a bargain since it is very low mileage, has been really well looked after and is in great condition. However, they don't have a clue what to do with any of the issues - pretty rubbish warranty, really!
The first problem I had was the electric roof - the panel that covers the void where the roof lives was jammed. Having taken the car back to the Honda garage (with no idea) I called an Alfa dealer - they told me this is likely to be a complex problem and it would take a while to fix. I then spoke to a friend who fixed this by tapping the solenoid behind the seats with a pin hammer!! If anyone else has the same issue, let me know - it's a piece of cake to fix!
Now this is sorted, I am completely chuffed with my Alfa. There is one small issue though... My neighbour used to own an 01 3.0V6 spider and pointed out that the engine management light should illuminate when starting the car, and mine doesn't. :-s Any thoughts anyone?!
