Hello, I'm new..
Hi, I'm new here.
After lusting after a Bertone GT Coupe for some years and having throughly read John Tipler's excellent Giulia Coupe GT and GTA book and Keith Booker's Giulia GT Coupe (Essential Buyer's Guide) which is required reading for anyone thinking about buying a GT coupe... i've finally bought one.
So here are pictures (in storage) of my new GT 1300 Junior.
This car is nearly totally original (it came from Italy) except it's had a full soup to nuts respray and a Nardi classic steering wheel - there isn't a bit of rust anywhere on it and I'm having it's underside rust proof refreshed just in-case.
The car is effectively a third car. One which is most certainly going to live in our garage and only come out for fun-days and trips (I plan on using it to go to the classic Le Mans and to follow the Milli Miglia next year).
I've never had an Alfa Romeo before - with our current cars being a 2007 VW Golf GTI and a 2001 Smart ForTwo.. so it's going to be interesting. I have had fairly period cars before though.. like an '87 Porsche G50 gearboxed 3.2 Carrera, 1971 1600 VW Beetle and several 80s Saab 900 16v Turbos.
So... I'm hoping that Giulia won't get in the way of my marrage... but you know how it goes.
