I have two Alfas: A real one with the gearbox where the ******** should be hanging ('85 Alfetta Gold Motronic 2.0), and then a 2006 156 2.0 T-Spark Lusso.
Both are my babies, and yes, I do look back a few times after parking any of them and walking off.
They're beautiful cars.
My 156 is more refined, drives smoother and is softer handling and more comfortable. My Alfetta is an ANIMAL! It snorts and snarls through it's cone filter and free flow exhaust system, rides hard on stiffened suspension with adjustable shocks and semi-slicks, and likes to corner sideways (on the huge skidpan in my backyard!
I have an autobahn in my backyard too!)...
I'm an alfaholic and love them all, from the original Giuliettas, GT Juniors, Alfettas and all the numberd models as well (33, 75; 90; 145; 146;147; 155;156; 159; 164 & 166).
My Alfetta is actually a rare South African version called the 159i, built to celebrate the last of the range, top of the range... But has since been re-incarnated into The Dawg's Danglies...
Here are two pics:
