Hi to everyone!!
My lady friend has an Alfa 147 1.6 lusso 52 plate and she wants it lowered, for some reason they all come with half a foot gap in the arches. She gets the mickey taken out of her too about it from our mates! Its in Alfa red, 5 dr (the way forward) and has Alfa 17" alloys on, which are brand new.
The car's done 10k, bought for £4500 I think, shes in the trade, so I was thinking dropping it 40mm on Cobra springs (they are reasonably priced and come with a 5 year guarantee) and leaving the standard shocks on. Eibach out of the question, too expensive.
Any advice or comments would be very welcome, I'm a Peugeot man I'm afraid! Any bushes that should be changed? etc. The search function isn't great, but found out some basics, cheers. Alfa technicians will be fitting the bits.
EDIT: seems the shocks should be replaced too judging by opinions, but is that necessary on a car thats only done 10k? I see that Eibach Pro Kit + KONI Sport dampers are the way forward, but its way overpriced. Maybe worth leaving it 6 months to save? And Eibach only seem to lower 30mm, which I don't think is enough
