Hi everyone, new to this forum, just had a bill, for 30 quid less than 900 off my local Alfa place, how bad are they?

Re: New Lad

Bit more info would be nice to form an opinion. I mean if they just changed the oil, thats a rip off, if they changed the engine it's about right.

Re: New Lad

Sorry about the delay in replying. The bill was for 2 new tyres, unfortunately this escalated into the dreaded health-check, resulting in.
1. New bushes and tracking.
2. Split hand-brake cable.
3. Rear Wiper blade.
4. New back box on the exhaust.
5. Tyers swapped, news on front.
6. Brakes.
7. Check why airbag light on????
8. One Offside, side-light.

£870, and she knocked a ton off because I looked like I was about to cry.

Re: New Lad

That sounds kinda pricey, but I've not had any experience of that kind of work being done on my Alfa yet... Would she have knocked any more off if you did actually cry?

Re: New Lad

Barker, I'm confused, they did a health check for you, and then did all the work without consulting you first? If so then that is pretty much illegal and you could have refused to pay.

A few more details would be helpful.

But welcome anyway mate!
