Hi, I'm Boz.
I have never actually owned an Alfa but have always wanted to, tho I've driven a few. In fact when I bought my first car, I went looking for an Alfa and ended up with an Audi Coupe. A Honda and Five Audis later, and I think I need to look at Alfas again, espacially when I've been encouraging others to buy them! The reason is that I like cars with a certain purity, that are tactile, that have a certain rawness and are exciting. I think Audi lost that some time ago - the recent cars are very remote, and while undeniably they go well, the company has moved away from the cars I like. Alfa on the other hand seems to be getting back to its roots of making truly great cars. I saw the Competizione 8C at the Canary Wharf Motor Show a few weeks ago, and I thought it was fantastic. In an age where ugly is often the new handsome, it is great to see a truly beautiful car, in the same way as 1950s Ferraris.
I intend to take the plunge soon. I'm considering an Alfa 156GTA, a car I've loved since it came out. I'll see what this site has to say about it!
