World record for Alfa unreliability ???

Hi, new to the forum so bear with me.

Picked up my brand new GT Lusso last friday 7th Sept, pleased as punch with it, Stromboli Grey, Red Leather, 18" Alloys, looked fantastic !!!

Unfortunatley my dream was crushed after just 7 miles, yes 7 miles, took a left turn changed down the gearbox 3rd to 2nd, to find I had no gears at all !!!.

Came to a standstill, tried gearbox again nothing !!.

Turned the engine off, all the gears worked. As I was in a bit of a dodgy spot thought I would try to move it a bit, got the car into first and tried to start the car, it lurched forward and died. Unfortunatley this left it stuck in first gear.

Anyway car finally recovered by RAC, stored and then recovered to dealer Tuesday AM. They only got it on the ramp today !! & have started to remove the gearbox, more tomorrow hopefully.

I was expecting a few reliability problems with both the car and dealerships, but not this soon !!!

Seriously though mate, this is not good, hopefully it is just a teething problem and karma will shine its light on you so you don't get any more misdeeds happening with the car.

By the way, you picked the best exterior and interior combo going bud, well done on that choice.
