It's got VTEC in it. That alone makes it special enough. And, yes, it is as exciting as it looks.
A common theme of 4C reviews is that its engine is nothing to write home about (loosely put). To me that's wrong in any 50k car; in an Alfa it's borderline tragic.
I appreciate writing as such on an Alfa forum isn't exactly ever go down that well but it's just my opinion. I'll get me coat.
Everyone can have an opinion. It'd be a sad world if everyone thought and liked the same stuff. I agree some on AO don't take any brand criticism well but I don't think I fall into that bracket TBH.
It was slightly tongue in cheek in lieu of your own comment about the 4C engine given what you have in the garage.
It looks a fantastic car/track toy btw, and is bound to be visceral fun (as many reviews say) and I envy it, so good on you for having one. But fair to say, VTEC "OK, good motor" or actually a bit "meh, millions of those Civic engines about" for a car costing almost £70,000 without options?
You'd say it goes like stink, so what? That is equally fair for the 4C which is also a cheaper car to begin with.
And, of course, depending on its age and originality if you also have an AC Ace - gorgeous thing
- it came with a mundane old Zephyr engine!
