A new Alfista on the block!
My name's Sam, I live in Belgium, and I recently got (for the second time) into the great family of Alfa owners.
My first Alfa Romeo was a third-hand 2003 Alfa Romeo 156 1.9jtd, which happened to be my first car too. I fell in love with this car, although it quickly showed to be more of a lemon than a pleasurable driver.
After one year of heavy driving, it gave its last breath, and left place for what my wallet could still afford, naming a FIAT Punto Evo 1.3Mjet II, which I kept and loved for two years and sold before moving in and out of London. That was a very nice and reliable car, by the way.
Back to Belgium, with a new job and new challenge, I was offered a Citroën C4 as a company car for no less than 380€ per month. After 2 month behind the wheel of that pile of horsepooh, and several visits to my chiropractor, I decided to get it off, and led my hands onto my actual Alfa Romeo.
So I am now the proud owner of a 2006 Alfa Romeo 159 Sportwagon 1.9JTDm 16V in Silver Grey, with black leather interior, dual climate control, electric folding mirrors, cruise control, front & rear parking sensors, Blue&Me and 16" all original alloy wheels. The car had 156,000km on the clock, first owner, and hand always been services in the local dealership which happens to be located just 3 streets away from home.
I hope to be bringing in nice detailed info as I work along. For instance, as is almost every 159 from what I've read, the front subframe of mine is quite badly rusted and I plan on getting my hands onto it.
Thanks for reading!
